Getting tested regularly is the best way to prevent a Sexually Transmitted Disease or Infection (STD or STI) and detect it early. Early detection lowers the risk of developing health consequences like Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) and other reproductive health problems. If you think you may be pregnant, you must get tested. For our clients who have a positive pregnancy test and are considering their options, we offer limited STD/STI testing to detect gonorrhea and chlamydia. For health reasons, you must get tested regardless of the decision regarding your pregnancy.
What does this mean for you? Educate yourself. Know the symptoms of STDs. Learn about the potential dangers of STDs and how to avoid or prevent them.
